In 1990 Roberta and John had a house constructed in Hector, NY. Her parents, Virginia and Robert Dannenfelser lived in the house while Roberta and John were still working in Brooklyn. Roberta and John moved from the Bronx to Hector in 2006. Roberta was a member of the Hector Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school to the children, and served several terms as a member of the session. She was a volunteer for the Hector Library. She was a member of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) and worked with the Timing and Scoring Team at Watkins Glen International and Lime Rock Park at the SCCA races.
