Obituary

William (“Bill”) P. Paradiso

Age 78, of Watkins Glen, NY died on December 23, 2020.

Bill, or Uncle Bill as many called him, was a graduate of Watkins Glen High School where he was a member of the football and track teams and received degrees from Corning Community College, The University at Albany, and SUNY Oswego. He spent most of his career working in educational administration at Red Hook Central School, SUNY campuses at Delhi, Oswego, Old Westbury and Alfred and at Southeastern Academy in Orlando, Florida.

Bill was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and the New York football Giants. In earlier years, he was a competitive golfer and bowler, having appeared on the televised Bowling for Dollars in Syracuse, and recorded many 700 series and a few holes in one. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, whom loved him very much.

Bill was predeceased by his parents Nick and Lucy, sisters Mary Lou and Rosanne, and niece Kristen Ricci.

There will be no services at this time. A private burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

You may leave a message of condolence at his obituary online at www.RoyceChedzoy.com. Arrangements entrusted to Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, Watkins Glen.

I was sorry to hear about Bill's passing. I knew Bill through my father, Robert, who was a lifetime friend of Bill. I'll always remember the many stories and laughter that accompanied a get together with Bill. May those that loved him feel the support from friends and comfort knowing he is at peace.

Warmest Regards,
Greg Mead

Uncle Bill was a wonderful person with a great sense of humor. Over the years we became great friends. I will miss you but I have faith you are in a better place, maybe playing some golf or a game of pool with your buddy Ratsy.

Much love and prayers - Mark Franzese
