Alice Frazier

Alice L. Frazier

Of Rock Stream, NY, passed away Feb. 23, 2024 at the age of 100 years, 10 months, and 3 days old.

She was born in Queens, NY on April 20, 1923, one of nine children of the late William and Gertrude (Gay) Freeman. She worked many years in Queens as a Bank Loan officer. Alice and her late husband resided in Rock Stream for many years, and were members of the Glen Baptist Church in Watkins Glen.

She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Miles Frazier on March 9, 1997. She was predeceased by all of her brothers and sisters; a son and daughter, Douglas Thompson and Sharon Sharkey; and great-granddaughter, Ashley Jerzak.

She is survived by her son, Dennis (wife Darlene) Sharkey, of Rock Stream; daughter Beverly (husband Mitchell) Rea of Burdett; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Blanche Frazier and Monica Freeman; and many numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Friday (March 8th) from 5pm-7pm; followed by a funeral service at 7:00pm. A graveside committal service will be held Saturday (March 9th) at 11:00am at Lake View Cemetery in Watkins Glen.
