Art was born on May 10, 1944 and was raised in Watkins Glen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Joel Peck Jr. and Margaret Hodges Peck Adams. He is survived by his adoring wife, Donna Colf Peck; son, AJ (Janel Barrows) Peck and their children, Emily and Allison; daughter, Cyndie (Kevin) Grove and their children Jacob, Toby, Alianna, Riley, Ethan, and Emmarae; and sisters, Grace Ann Pelino and Jean Swinnerton.
Art was a 32nd Degree Master Mason and member of Zereditha Lodge #451 in York, PA. From watching road races in Watkins Glen as a small boy to working on different race teams, Art spent a good portion of his life at the Watkins Glen racetrack. He began volunteering in various roles at Watkins Glen International more than 30 years ago. Most recently, he thoroughly enjoyed giving rides to WGI guests in the track pace cars and giving personal tours to Track VIPs. You could frequently see Art driving around the infield on his green golf cart. He was a Past District Governor, a Past Council Chair, a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow, and a dedicated member and Past President of the Corning Lions Club. Art also enjoyed driving his “FRN2FRND” Porsche. He was fond of supporting the community through Lions Club, helping his family and friends, as well as sending out his daily jokes. He will be greatly missed by all who came into contact with him.
