Ashley A. Jerzak
Age 33, of Burdett, NY, passed away December 27, 2019.
Ashley was born July 30, 1986 and graduated from Odessa-Montour Central School in 2004. Ashley worked at the Cayuga Medical Center Emergency Room Department and was a certified EMT. She was also the Immediate-Past Vice-President and Volunteer for the Burdett Fire Department.
Ashley is survived by her loving family, including her husband James “Jamie” Jerzak; daughter Jaden Jerzak; son Chase Jerzak; stepdaughter Mercedes Jerzak; mother Yvonne (Steven) Schaffhouser; father Ronnie Rea (Amanda Underhill); grandparents, Mitchell and Beverly Rea; brothers and sister, Jesse (Tarra) Rea, Alexa Peppard, and Brett Rea; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Diane Jerzak; step-grand-daughter, Maddy; uncles, Pete Goodrich, James Goodrich, and Steven Peppard, and nephew Vince Rea.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Herbert and Marylou Peppard; and Aunt Terri Goodrich.
Ashley loved animals and always wanted to be a Veterinary Technician. But instead she found her true purpose in life helping people as an EMT, Fire Fighter and ER staff. She enjoyed her work and took great pride in helping people. Ashley was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
A celebration of her life will be held Thursday (January 2) at the Burdett Fire Department. The family will receive friends at the Fire Department from 5pm-6pm; followed by a memorial service at 6:00pm
