Barbara A. Brown

Barbara A. (Burnett) Brown, age 88, of Burdett, passed away on June 24, 2023.

Barbara was born to Ralph and Hazel (Fitch) Burnett on March 20, 1935 in Burdett, NY.  She graduated from Watkins Glen High School in 1953.

She was an avid reader, loved to do crafts, play piano, color and travel. Barbara and her family travelled to many destinations for vacations and spent many days camping all over. She was a member of many clubs and groups.

She is survived by her daughter Lori (Brown) Allen of Montour Fails, daughter-in-law Lisa (Taylor) Brown of Burdett; grandchildren, Joshua Brown, Melinda Brown (fiancé Rich Button), Philip Brown (wife LeAnn); step-grandsons, Jeremy and Jason Allen; great-grandchildren, Jacob Klee, Bentley Button; great-step-grandchildren, Hailie, Daniel, Drake, Cadance, Emilie, and Jaxon Button; and several cousins, nephews, and nieces.  She was predeceased by her parents; husband Donald; sons, Donald and Gary; and brother Wally Burdett.

Funeral services will be held at the Hector Presbyterian Church, 5511 SR 414, Hector, NY on Thursday, July 6, 2023.  Calling hours are from 2pm-3pm with the funeral service following at 3pm. There will be a dish to pass lunch following all services in the fellowship hall of the church.
