Barbara R. Dallas
Age 54, of Voorheis Rd., Trumansburg, NY, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 30, 2012. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Reynoldsville United Methodist Church, Rte. 227, Reynoldsville, NY, on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012 from 1pm-3pm; with a memorial service following at 3:00pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the children, c/o Chemung Canal Trust Co., c/o Dena M. Carrigan, 318 N. Franklin St., Watkins Glen, NY 14891. Please make donations payable to “Barbara R. Dallas Memorial Fund”. Barbara was born in Cortland, NY, daughter of the late Harold F. and Alice (Maier) Dallas. She was also predeceased by a brother, Jeffrey Dallas. She is survived by her 14 year old son, Phillip Dallas and 11 year old daughter, Samantha Dallas, both of Trumansburg. Also, three brothers, Dr. J. Gregory (Carol) Dallas of Fullerton, CA, Donald R. Dallas (Tina Kouzi) of Norfolk, VA, and Dr. Peter A. (Sara) Dallas of Albany, NY; sister-in-law, Jane Dallas (Jeffrey) of Hillsborough, NC; and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was a Registered Nurse and formerly worked for the Gannett Health Services at Cornell University. She adored and lived every moment of her life for her two beautiful children. She loved to cook and share her creations with her children, family and friends. And, also her special sense of humor.
