Barry J. Mosher
Age 62, of Newfield and formerly Burdett, NY, passed away after a brief illness on August 10, 2022.
The family will receive friends at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen on Monday (August 15) from 1pm-3pm; followed by a funeral service at 3pm and burial at Union Cemetery of Hector. A reception will be announced.
He is survived by his sons, Zachary Wayne Mosher, Derek John Mosher, both of Newfield; mother of his children, Cheryl Ryan; father, Harold Mosher of Burdett; brothers, Mark Mosher and Scott Mosher; sisters, Karen (Lyman) Flahive, Lisa (Tom) Phillips, and Susan (Joe) Fazzary; nieces and nephews, Conor Flahive, Steven Mosher, Kyle, Ethan, Dylan Mosher, Georgio Fazzary, Chandra and Corey Flahive, Halle Phillips, Amber Mosher and Isabella Fazzary; and many dear aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his mother Barbara Mosher; grandmother Florence Kelley and first wife, Lisa Kellogg Mosher. Barry’s mother and grandmother had a very special place in his heart.
Barry had an avid love for hunting and fishing, teaching the boys the good and the bad ways to go about these sports. Barry’s favorite place to go was Old Forge, NY for family vacations.
Barry worked at Wegman’s in Ithaca for over 30 years in the meat department. Barry also worked at Seneca Lodge for many years.
