Beverly Archer

79, of Watkins Glen, passed away peacefully at home on July 12, 2023, after a brief illness.

She is survived by her sister Helen Lawhead (Tim), Belfair Washington, brother Thomas Buczek (Fran), Kerrville TX, children Hope Decker (Andrew) Watkins Glen, NY and David Archer, Galway, Ireland and grandchildren Abby (Andy) Coon, Milwaukee, WI, Alex Decker, Rochester NY, Aidan Decker, Watkins Glen NY, Breffni Archer, Galway Ireland, Ailbhe Archer, Galway Ireland. She is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Philip Archer, her parents Thomas and Helen (Jakubaszek) Buczek, her brother Michael Buczek, Horseheads NY, and her grandson Tiernan Archer, Galway Ireland.

Beverly was a painter, an illustrator, a quilter, and most recently a mixed media and collage artist. She appreciated, cultivated, and created beauty. She also was an outstanding cook and baker. She put her heart into the food she made for the people she loved.

She was a quiet force in her corner of the world. She deeply loved her family and friends. Beverly appreciated life and experienced the little everyday things as monumental gifts.

Donations in Beverly’s memory can be made to the Watkins Glen Public Library 610 S Decatur St, Watkins Glen, NY 14891 for the “Art for All” project to honor one of her last wishes that all children have quality art supplies and instruction.
