Charlena R. Brown
Age 92 of Watkins Glen, NY, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2014 following a fall.
She is predeceased by her husbands, Arthur L. Curry, Lee Bartlett, and George A. Brown; her mother Irma Richtmyer; and brother Lauren Richtmyer. She is survived by nieces, Janet Valent (Oscar), Pat Horan (Ernie), Diane McCawley (Dave) and Nancy Piccolino (Joe), cousins, great-nephews and nieces. She was a lifelong resident of Watkins Glen, served as principal of the Watkins Glen Middle School and was a member of the Watkins Glen First Presbyterian Church. At her request there will be no calling hours or graveside services. However, a memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 520 N. Decatur St., Watkins Glen on Thursday, August 7. 2014 at 11:00am. A luncheon will follow services at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her church.
