Charles B. Bond
Age 61, of Hector, NY, passed away after a brief illness on August 28, 2014. The family will receive visitors at Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014 from 1pm-3pm; followed by a memorial service at the funeral home at 3:00pm. Burial with military honors will be held at the Seneca Union Cemetery in Valois. He was predeceased by wife, Lisa (Treadwell) Bond; mother, Barbara (Bond) Miller; siblings, Patricia Bond, Susan Caslin, Larry Bond, Bruce Bond; and father-in-law and mother-in-law; William and Mona Treadwell. He is survived by his father, George (Beverly) Bond Sr.; sister, Linda (Charles) Knapp, brother Timothy (Kathleen) Bond, brother George (Rita) Bond Jr., sister Debra (Skip) Opdyke, sister Viola (Paul) Woodworth, brother Craig (David) Bond, sister Leslie (Scott) Crane and many nieces and nephews. Charles served eight years in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a retired electrician from Corning Glass in Wilmington, N.C. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved hunting, fishing, and archery. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing billiards, horseshoes and followed Grand Prix Racing.
