Age 73, of Watkins Glen, passed away April 25, 2022.
A private family graveside service will be held at Beaver Dams Cemetery. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date, and will be announced.
Chuck was born on September 7, 1948 in Montour Falls, the son of Maurice and Grace Doane. Chuck was a self-employed carpet installer for many years and retired from Warehouse Carpet in Horseheads. He was a 52 year-member of the BPOE #1546 Elks Lodge in Watkins Glen and the Mechanics Club in Montour Falls. Chuck coached the Watkins Glen Sporting Goods Little League Baseball team for many years.
He was a lifelong Yankee Baseball and Syracuse Basketball fan.
He is survived by his companion Patricia Sabatini; three children, Adam Doane, Anthony Doane and Kalinda Doane, all of Watkins Glen; sisters Sandra Doane Sears and Debra Doane, both of Beaver Dams; two grandchildren, Jordan and Michael Doane; great-grandson Levi Swayze; his four-legged companion, Angus; and several nieces and nephews.
