Age 96, of Watkins Glen, passed away May 20, 2019.
Charlie was born on January 14, 1923 in Hector, NY, the son of Seymour and Lucy (Smith) Keach. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Bertha Carroll. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was a retired Watkins Glen Central School custodian and WWII Navy Veteran. He also worked as a Postal Carrier and for Jimmy’s Radio in Watkins Glen. After retiring from the school in 1985, he enjoyed taking bus trips around the country.
A visitation service will be held on Wed. (May 29th) from 12-2pm at Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen. A funeral service will be held at 2pm at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Richard Evans; followed by military honors at the Union Cemetery of Hector in Burdett. Memories of Charlie may be added to his “Book of Memories” at www.RoyceChedzoy.com.
