Charles "Chuck" Of Elmira, NY, previously of Watkins Glen, died November 7, 2006 at home, after a very brief struggle with cancer, at the age of 39. He is survived by many friends, family and his very special peanut, mother and stepfather, Ellen and Albert Perry; sister, Marjorie Hartman; niece and nephew, Jessica and Jared Hartman; great-niece, Anna Rosa Julia Samuidio; beloved daughter, Amber Leigh Updike; and special friend and companion, Regina Kretchmer (Wescott). At Chuck's request, there are no calling hours or funeral service. At a later date, a traditional Irish Wake will be held in the summer at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his memory may be made to the Falck Cancer Center to assist others, as they did for him, in their own battles with cancer.
