Age 81, of Watkins Glen, passed away April 15, 2021.
Charles was born in Watkins Glen, the son of William and Lena VanAmburg. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Theodore VanAmburg, and daughter-in-law, Denise VanAmburg.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nellie; son Thomas VanAmburg (Jacqueline Lynch); daughter, Peggy VanAmburg (Wayne Whitford), four grandchildren, Brian VanAmburg (Megan), Jessica VanAmburg (Greg Lindstrom), Keira Sulkey, and Ryan Clark-Sulkey (Elizabeth Odom); and two great-granddaughters, Ava and Everly VanAmburg; and son-in-law Christopher Sulkey.
Charles worked for the NYS Highway Department inWatkins Glen and was a member of St. James’ Episcopal Church.
Funeral services were private. Charles was laid to rest at Pleasant View Cemetery in Reading Center.
