Cynthia Rappleye Jarvis

Age 89, of Irelandville Rd., Watkins Glen, died Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at Seneca View, Montour Falls, NY.

Friends are invited to call Friday 6-8PM at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen. The funeral service will follow visitation hours at 8:00pm; Rev. Jeanne Bleiler officiating; with burial Saturday at 10am in Lakeview Cemetery, Watkins Glen. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Cynthia’s name to the Reading Community Church or Schuyler County Ambulance.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ruth L. Slocum, of Binghamton, NY; and several nieces, nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles A. Jarvis in 1994; a brother, Harold Rappleye; and sister, Doris Flynn.

Cynthia was a member of the Reading Community Church. She worked as an AVON representative for several years; and served on the Board of Elections for the Town of Reading. She loved canning food goods and crocheting; and always looked forward to weekly card games with friends.

The family would like to thank Mary Lou Rappleye, and also Jack and Ana Proscia for their continued loving care and support of our Aunt Cynt.
