Dale Ernest Cleveland
Age 57, of Big Flats, NY, on January 23, 2021, while surrounded by family and loved ones, entered into
the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Dale was predeceased by his parents, Virgil and Mildred Cleveland. He is survived by his loving wife,
Jeanette; his four children and their spouses, Thomas and Dana Cleveland of Ogden, UT; Matthew and
Sami Cleveland of Horseheads, NY, Nicholas and Katie Cleveland of Beaver Dams, NY and DeAnna and
Daniel Willcox of Taylor Ridge, IL; brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Joanne Cleveland of Highlands
Ranch, CO; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Dennis Weigel of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin; and one
grandchild, Oliver.
Dale was a man of great faith, and his faith in Christ was reflected in all of his walks of life. Dale
faithfully and joyfully served his Savior, family, church, country and anyone in need. He was a hard
worker and well respected by everyone who crossed paths with him. Dale was a craftsman in all things and an expert woodworker, and a jack of all trades. Often, he was given the nickname MacGyver for his
creative ideas to fix things. Dales family was his whole world. He married his high school sweetheart
and together they raised 4 amazing children, and he was very proud of them. Simply put, Dale was a man who greatly loved and is loved greatly.
The family will be present to receive friends at the Higher Hope Church, 356 Maple St., Big Flats on
Friday (January 29) from 1pm-4pm; followed by a Celebration of Life service at 4pm at the church.
A committal service with military honors will he held Saturday at 11am at Montour Cemetery (top entrance), 3800 CRONK ROAD., Montour Falls, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Higher Hope Church.
