Daniel Mundo

Age 67 of Montour Falls, NY passed away peacefully on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Schuyler Hospital. Daniel was born on April 27, 1957 at St. Vincents Hospital in New York City, to Elsie and Jose Mundo. Daniel has lived in Montour Falls since 1991, with The Arc of Chemung Schuyler.

Daniel’s laugh was always special as he laughed with his whole body and had the biggest smile anyone could imagine. He loved any obnoxiously loud toy and would put them right next to his ear and replay it over and over, smiling ear to ear. Daniel was well known for being a jokester to his peers, staff and anyone that he could get a reaction from. He would scrunch up his nose, make funny noises with his mouth and would win over the attention of anyone around. Daniel was a foodie, he loved all sorts of various foods. If offered an endless supply of shrimp, he would have eaten for days given the opportunity. A perfect day for Daniel was listening to various genres of music, sitting outside listening to nature and his surroundings.

Daniel is survived by 4 siblings. He was predeceased by his parents. Daniel is also survived by his entire family at The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler, who will miss him greatly, as well as countless friends.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Geln on Wednesday, January 24, 2023, at 12:00PM.  A celebration of Daniel’s life will be held at 1:00PM, a graveside burial will be scheduled at a later date due to inclement weather.
