David Shone
59, of Manhattan, NY passed away on October 28, 2021 in New York City after a courageous two-and-a-half-year battle with brain cancer.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne, of nearly thirty years, daughter Winslow and twin sons Wyatt and Gavin, brother Michael and sister Amy Stappenbeck, nephew Wade Shone and niece Ashley Stappenbeck.
David was athletic and enjoyed skiing and soccer. He graduated from Honeoye Falls Lima school in 1981, then received an architectural degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 1988 and worked on several high-end projects in NYC over the past thirty years. He was a loving and devoted son, husband, father, brother, and uncle and is very much missed.
At his request there will be no services. His ashes were scattered at Martha’s Vineyard where he and his family enjoyed summers and holidays. A gathering to celebrate David’s life, as well as that of his father, Wilbur, will be held from 2-6 on Friday, December 30th at 56 Stoneybrook Drive, Rochester, New York. The Shones look forward to hosting friends and family in sharing a story, a laugh and a celebration.
