Montour Falls: Age 68, of Montour Falls, NY passed away on May 12, 2011 at Bath VA Hospital. Donnie was born on October 15, 1942 in Endicott, NY, the son of the late Merle and Grace Duane of Watkins Glen. He is survived by a brother, Kenneth Duane, with whom he resided; sister, Eleanor (Richard) Vary of Watkins Glen; several nieces and nephews; and was loved by many. He graduated from Watkins Glen Central School in 1961, and entered the US Air Force from 1964-1968, serving 2 years in Okinawa. He worked at Thatcher Glass and Hilliard Corp. until retirement in 2005. Donnie was a life-long member of the B.P.O.E #1546 of Watkins Glen and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #426 of Montour Falls. The family will receive friends and relatives from 2-4pm on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the Elks Lodge in Watkins Glen. A Memorial Elks Service will be held at 2:00pm at the lodge.
