Age 72, of Burdett and formerly of Rochester, NY, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. The family will receive visitors at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Tuesday (Feb. 10th) from 4pm-6pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Wednesday at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church in Watkins Glen. She is survived by her loving and faithful husband of 54 years, LeRoy Schroeder; daughters, Debra (Daniel) Stella of Farmington, NY, and Sandra Schroeder (Daniel Hunt) of Chili, NY; brother and sister-in-law, Philip (Dorothy) Martell of Greece, NY; brothers-in-law, Paul (Diane) Schroeder, and Rudolph (Faye) Schroeder, all of Perryville, MO; and three grandchildren, Ryan Schroeder, Eric Hunt-Schroeder, and Sara Stella. She was predeceased by her son, Michael Schroeder. Doris was a communicant of Church of the Holy Ghost in Rochester and St. Mary’s of the Lake Church in Watkins Glen.
