Edwin Forest White
Age 73, of Horseheads and Penn Yan, NY, went to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, March 15, 2011.
There are no prior calling hours. A Celebration of his Life, will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, March 19th, at the Bluff Point United Methodist Church, 3044 Kinney’s Corners Rd., Keuka Park, NY (14478). Private interment will be held at Lakemont Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Ed was born on April 7, 1937 in Montour Falls, the son of the late Herbert and Eleanor White. He graduated from Dundee Central School in 1955, and later Corning Community College and received his Bachelors of Science from RIT. Ed worked 32 years at Corning, Inc. as a mechanical engineer designing gauges for television glass, until retiring in 1996.

Ed was an avid trumpet player and shared his musical talents in numerous ways. He was a member of the Bluff Point United Methodist Church, and choir member. Also, a charter member of the Corning Community Band, former member of the Mark Twain Barber Shoppers, a bugler for the Military Honors Ritual Teams in Corning and Elmira area. He and his wife also presented musical gospel concerts, known as Nusong.
Edwin was predeceased by his parents; also his first wife Carolyn (Knapp) (Wignall) White, and brother-in-law, Jerry Harrington.
He is survived by his wife, Rev. Judy D. White; stepchildren, Susan Buongiorno, David (Briana) Wignall, Stephen (Jennifer) Wignall, Judith (Richard) Moravec, William White, and Maryanne Miller; brothers and sisters, Norman (Doris) White, David (Sandy) White, Kay (John) Shepard, and Fay (Thomas) McIlroy; father-in-law, C. William Harrington, brothers-and-sisters-in-law, Phillip (Missy) Harrington, Patrick (Yvonne) Harrington, Sherie (Dan) Bradley, Hollie Harrington, David (Robin) Harrington, and Daniel (Cynthia) Harrington; 11 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations in Edwin’s memory be made to the church or American Diabetes Assoc.
