Elizabeth “Betty” Tripp
Age 85, formally of Fairport and Hector, NY, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, William F. Tripp. They were married May 7, 1949 at St. Catherine’s Church in Hillcrest NY. Betty was born Nov 19, 1926 in Starrucca, PA, the daughter of late Leon and Mary Skurski. She was also predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Anthony, John, Louis, Joseph, Sophia, Helen, and Katherine. She graduated from Preston High School in Lakewood PA. in 1944 and the City Hospital School of Nursing in Binghamton in 1948. She worked as a School Nurse Teacher at Fairport High School. She is survived by her children, Marilyn (Fred) Murray, of Plymouth, MA; and Thomas (Marie) Tripp of Canandaigua, NY; four grandchildren, Trevor (Caitlin) Tripp, of Round Lake NY, Cassie Murray of Boston, MA, Thomas Murray of Quincy and Norwell MA, and Eric Tripp of Canandaigua, NY and Austin, TX. The Family would like to thank The Falls Home in Montour Falls and Vienna Gardens of Phelps for their special care in recent years. And a special thank you to the staff at Geneva General Hospital in Geneva and Soldiers and Sailors Hospital in Penn Yan.
