Esther L. Beam
81, of Dundee, NY, formerly of Long Valley, NJ, died Tuesday, May 24, 2011. Born on September 3, 1929 in Hudson County, NJ, she was the adopted daughter of Sarah Moore. She and her late husband Floyd raised their family in Middle Valley, NJ. She and her husband moved later to Long Valley in the 1970’s and eventually moved to Dundee, NY in 1993.

She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Floyd Beam, in 2006. Also a daughter, SarahJo Beam.

Survivors include her five daughters, Sharron Dippel and her husband Richie of Long Valley, NJ, Laura Lee Cameron and her husband Bill of Dundee, NY, Merry Lou Beam of Long Valley, NJ, Evelyn Hulcher and her husband Bill of Washington, NJ, Lindsey Starr and her husband Skip of Dundee, NY; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Coughlin Funeral Home, Califon, NJ. A graveside service and burial will be held at 3pm at the Fairmount Cemetery, Fairmount, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
