George W. Bush
Age 67, of Elmira, formerly of Watkins Glen, passed away July 22, 2017.
George was born in Montour Falls on June 3, 1950; the son of the late Otis and Gladys Bush. He formerly worked at Mr. Chicken in Watkins Glen, Thatcher’s Glass in Elmira Heights, and Seneca Foods in Dundee. He loved the outdoors and deer hunting. He lived for the past seven years at the Barton Home in Elmira, where he loved taking care of the gardens and yard work. The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff at the Barton Home for their loving care of George.
He is survived by his three daughters, Christina (Earl) Engle of Horseheads, Michelle (Kenneth) Huffman of Corning, and Tammy Bush of Horseheads; brother, Charles (Connie) Bush of Rochester Hills, Michigan, sisters, Wilma (Philip) Bond of Hector, and Judy (Harold) Forney of Valois; and seven grandchildren, Teri, Michael, Issac, Cayla, Carissa, Mikiera, and Sharaela; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen on Saturday (July 29) from 2pm-3pm; followed by a funeral service at 3:00pm; and burial at Hector Union Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made online at www.RoyceChedzoy.com.
