Gilbert F. LeRoux, Sr.
Age 73, of Watkins Glen, passed away on July 20, 2015 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. The family will receive friends on Thursday (July 23rd) from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 9:00am at the funeral home. Gilly was born in Queens, NY, the son of William and Veronica LeRoux. He served 6 years in the US Army. After serving in the Army, he moved with his family to Watkins Glen. He worked at Cargill, Inc in Watkins Glen and retired after 24 years of service. He loved spending time with family and friends; and loved guns. He is survived by his four children, Gilly LeRoux, Jr., Debbie LeRoux, Chris LeRoux and Kevin (Jessica) LeRoux; brothers, Kenny (Mary) LeRoux of Cocoa, FL, and Neil (Janet) LeRoux of Seneca Falls; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and several loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Veronica; brother, William F. LeRoux, Jr. and sister, Veronica Rekczis.
