Harold “Pete” E. Rappleye
Age 77, of Watkins Glen, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2015 at home. The family will receive visitors at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home on Friday (Feb. 6th) from 4pm-6pm; followed by a funeral service at 6:00pm. Burial and committal services will be Saturday at 11am at Lakeview Cemetery in Watkins Glen. He is survived by five children, Darlene Rappleye of Watkins Glen, Harold J. (Vivian) Rappleye of Burdett, Kimberly (Dale) Delong of Hector, Brian Rappleye of Rock Stream, and Randy (Tina) Rappleye of Montour Falls; brother, David Rappleye of Elmira; sisters, Shirley Rappleye of Elmira. Edna (Ron) Johnson of Horseheads and Ruth (Bob) Ehrhardt of Elmira; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was born in Montour Falls on May 27, 1937, the son of Homer and Frances (Impson) Rappleye. Pete worked for the Town of Reading Highway Department for 42 years and served as the Superintendant for 26 years. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to Care First, 11751 E.
