James Alton Nash
Age 68, of Beaver Dams, NY passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009 at Robert-Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. Jim is survived by his wife, Susan M. Nash; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Gretchen Ochs, of St. Paul, MN; grandchildren, Ella Delores Ochs, Joseph Christopher Ochs, Blaine Stewart Nash Ochs, and Frederick Alton Nash Ochs; sister-in-law, Lois Nash, of Draper, UT; and nephews, Steve (Vivian) Nash of Sandy, UT; Kelly (Karen) Nash of Salt Lake City, UT; and Bob (Sheri) Nash of Draper, UT; and several great nieces and great nephews. Jim worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor at Day Top Village in Swan Lake, NY, until his retirement in 2005. He served in the United States Air Force as a pilot in Vietnam.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Those wishing may consider a memorial donation in Jim’s memory to the Schuyler County Humane Society, (www.schuylerhumane.org) or the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org). There are no prior visiting hours. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 14, 2009 at the Bath National Cemetery, Bath, NY with military honors.
