James Teemley
Age 89, of Burdett, NY, passed away January 3, 2018.
Jim was born in Watkins Glen on January 18, 1928, the son of Lewis and Frieda Teemley. He and his wife Nancy owned and operated Teemley's Market on Franklin Street in Watkins Glen for many years. He was also a lifelong member of the Myrtle-Jefferson Masonic Lodge and Burdett Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy (Berry) Teemley; children, Amy (Walt) Lakomy, Bill Teemley (Karen Hunter), and Roger (Susan) Teemley, all of Burdett; sister, Irene (Jack) Nelson of Maryland; sister-in-law, Bonnie Teemley of Florida; four grandchildren, Lindsay (Nathan) Boles, Cody (Courtney) Lakomy, Kaylyn (David) Sidle, and Logan Teemley; and two great-grandchildren, Madison Lakomy and Aurora Boles.
According to his wishes, private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family and burial at Glenwood Cemetery. Those wishing to remember Jim may consider a memorial donation in his memory to the V-L-H Fire Department, PO Box 46, Hector, NY 14841.
