WOLFE, James L.

Age 93, of Odessa, NY, passed away Monday, December 17, 2007, at Schuyler Hospital. There are no prior visiting hours. Family and friends are invited to a funeral service to be held Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Church of Christ, 165 Miller St., Horseheads; Rev. Steve Connors officiating; burial will be held at a later date at East Newark Cemetery, Newark Valley, NY. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Mary Wolfe; sons, Jesse (Sandy) Wolfe and Jeffrey Wolfe, all of Odessa; daughters, Marty Northrup and Mary Beth (John) Wallenbeck, all of Odessa, and Darlene (David) Gillis of Pine City, NY; sister, Elizabeth Pratt of Jacksonville, FL; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Shawn Northrup; and three grandchildren. Jim was a foreman at Cotton Hanlon and worked in the lumber industry and carpentry for many years. He served in the US Army Rainbow Division during WWII. He celebrated his 70th wedding anniversary with his wife, Mary on June 8, 2007.
