Johanna Marie Drake
Age 83, passed away on October 4, 2019, at the Tenacre Foundation in Princeton, New Jersey. Born in Manhattan, she moved to Burdett, NY in 1979, with the intention of turning her 16-room house into a bed and breakfast.
She was active in local politics and animal rescue. She was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Horton of Lee Summit, MO on August 26, 2019. She leaves a brother, Andrew J. Dubrin of Rochester, NY; her son Andrew Roy Drake of Alfred Station, NY; and 4 cats Tuni, Silverstien, Marco, and Sampson of Alfred Station, NY.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Bath, NY, Sunday, December 1, 2019. In lieu of flowers, please donate in her memory to Paradise Garden Animal Rescue, 598 Kent Hill Road, Woodhull, NY 14898 (or online at www.paradisegardenanimalhaven.org)
