John J. Frank, Jr.
Age 91, of Watkins Glen, passed away October 23, 2022.
John was born on January 25, 1931, the son of the late John J. Frank Sr., and Alice (Olsen) Frank. He was owner and operator of Franks Clothes Shop in Watkins Glen. John honorably served in the US Army and was a life member of the Elks Lodge in Watkins Glen, and served as Past Exulted Ruler. He was also a communicant of St. Mary’s of the Lake Catholic Church.
There are no prior calling hours. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday (Oct. 28) at 11am at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church, 905 N. Decatur St., Watkins Glen; followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife Barbara; their two sons, David Frank and Jimmy Frank; sister Margaret Staahl of Pennsylvania; brothers-in-law, Richard (Shirley) Robbins of Florida, and J.C. (Susan) Robbins of Rock Stream. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Joseph Staahl.
John was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
