Kay Lane

Kathleen (Kay) M. Lane
 
Age 77, of Burdett, passed away on April 27, 2024.  

She was born on March 10, 1947 in Montour Falls, the daughter of the late Daniel and Evelyn (Davis) Welch.  She was predeceased by her parents, as well as her sister Barbara Welch.  

She is survived by her husband, Gene Lane; children, Donna (Timothy) DeGraw, Jean Blauvelt (Brian), Carol Frederick, Michael (Stacey) Arnold; step-children, Genine (Guy) Bushfan, Stacey Lane, and Marci Lane (Kevin); brother Gary Welch (Georgia); nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4^th St., Watkins Glen on Thursday (May 2) from 4pm-6pm; followed by a funeral service at 6:00pm; Rev. Mike Kelly officiating.  Burial will be private at Hector Union Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Kay loved collecting Carousel Horses of every shape, size and color.   Kay also followed Nascar (Chase Elliot) and Women’s College Basketball, and local High School sports.  She was especially a big Caitlin Clark fan.
