Kenneth M. Miller
Age 71, of Rock Stream, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015. He was predeceased by his wife, Sharon F. Miller, on November 14, 2014. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Doug Yeater of Hector; and two grandsons, William and Alexander. He is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Judy Miller; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Donald Kerner; and sister, Linda Chestnut, all of Indiana. Ken was born in Indianapolis on August 17, 1943, the oldest son of Vernon and Susan F. Miller. He received his PhD in Zoology from Indiana University in 1970 and went on to teach at Purdue University for the next few years. He then worked for American Home Products in Research and Development and Quality Control in Milton, PA and New York, NY. After retiring in 2001, he and his wife moved from Lewisburg, PA to Rock Stream, NY, and opened the Anna Rose Bed & Breakfast. Ken was a scientist and nature lover and enjoyed hiking, birdwatching, and spending time outdoors with his daughter and grandchildren, teaching them about all matter of plants and bugs. He also enjoyed playing bridge, traveling and watching Hoosier basketball. The family will receive visitors from 4:00pm-6:00pm on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen. A private graveside service will be held at Glen Wood Cemetery in Geneva at the convenience of the family.
