Lelia Spader

Lelia Mae Spader, age 63, of Hopkins, MN. Our special sister and aunt passed away Nov. 16 in Delano, MN. Lelia was born in Montour Falls.

A graveside service will be held at Beaver Dams Cemetery, in Beaver Dams, NY on Monday, December 1, 2008 at 12:00noon.

She lived with her mother, June Fish, in Corning for several years. In 1978, she moved to Eden Prairie, MN, where she lived with her sister, Betty McMahon Buman. She worked at Cargill Inc. food service in Wayzata, MN for 19 years and 10 years with CHOICE, Inc., an organization that obtains jobs for the developmentally disabled. The greatest joy of her life was to live independently in her own apartment. Preceded in death by parents, June Fish, Corning, NY and Howard Spader, Montour Falls, NY. Survived by sister, Betty McMahon Buman of Deming, NM; brother, William Spader of Watkins Glen, NY; niece, Lori Kuechenmeister of Watertown, MN; nephew, Dan McMahon of Ellsworth, WI; and special friend, John Quirk of Hopkins.
