Linda Rose (Smolos) Smith

65, of Beaver Dams, NY, passed away on February 18, 2024 in Sayre PA. Linda was born December 5, 1958, in Urbana, NY, to the late Margaret (Novak) Smolos and Leo Smolos.

Linda was a courageous, giving, and compassionate individual who dedicated her career to working at Schuyler Hospital and David’s Bridal, where she cherished her interactions and friendships with others. She graduated from Bradford Central School in Bradford, NY. Linda enjoyed traveling, snowmobiling, visiting and sometimes winning at casinos, baking cooking and making pierogies but most of all, spending quality time with her family.

She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of 46 years, John, her fur babies Mya, Mia, Cujo, Mouse and JJ. Linda is survived by her sisters, Janice Shepard and Marie Smolarz, brother Leo “Butch” (Lori ) Smolarz, brothers-in-law Raymond (Janet) Smith, Michael (Valerie) Smith, William (Sandra) Smith, Richard Smith, sister-in-law Robin (William) Rhodes, as well as her many wonderful nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Christine Price, her parents, and her mother-in-law, Joan Smith.

A celebration of life and a Catholic Mass for Linda will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Stanislaus Church in Bradford, NY, the American Cancer Society or the SPCA in her memory. The family wishes to thank the Falck Cancer Center, Arnot-Ogden Hospital and Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, especially the wonderful, kind, and caring nurses and caregivers.
