Age 82, of Watkins Glen, NY, passed away on August 18, 2016.
Marie was born on December 25, 1933 in Sarreguemines, France. She was a wonderful woman. She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially for others. Her love for life was infectious, as well as her laugh. She was very much loved by all. Marie fought hard, but loved harder. She was predeceased by her husband Francis L. Rhoades. She is survived by her daughter, Margarette Schobert; and grandson, Cedric Schobert, both of France; sister, Anne Marie Nelson of Highspire, PA and her family; nephew and niece, Phillip McManaway and Susan Keller; nieces, Amanda Harris and Tanya Fernandez; and several other great-nieces and great-nephews. A Requiem Eucharist service celebrating her life will be held at St. James’ Episcopal Church, 112 Sixth St., Watkins Glen, NY on Wednesday, August 31 at 10:30am.
