Marion Adams

Marion Douglas Adams of Hector, N.Y. died February 16, 2014, she was 77 years old. Born in Westfield, N.J. April 21, 1937, Marion was the daughter of the late Wayne L. & Helen Cameron Douglas. She was a graduate of Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Pa. with a degree in education. Upon her graduation, Marion was employed by the Corning Painted Post Board of Education as teacher for over 30 years retiring several years ago. In addition, Marion assisted her beloved late husband, Paul Bruce Adams with his business, Precision Analytical of Watkins Glen, N.Y. Marion and her husband Bruce were active members of the Hector Presbyterian Church formerly serving as an Elder, Deacon & Finance Secretary. Marion's interest in Birds blossomed while living in the town of Hector located on the shores of Seneca Lake. She participated in aviary migration counting for her local state park, National Geographic and the county in which she lived often with the help of her loving grandchildren, Nicholas & Austin Dalrymple and Christian & Cameron Cochran. In addition to her grandchildren and many nieces & nephews, Marion is survived by two daughters; Mrs. Bonnie Adams Smith and husband E. Scott & Amy Adams Cochran and husband Chip. Her loving husband P. Bruce Adams died June 12, 2012. A celebration of Marion's life will take place at 11:00am, Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Hector Presbyterian Church, Hector, N.Y.. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
