Marion Ellison

Marion Louise Andrews Ellison, 87, of Watkins Glen, passed this life Thursday, January 1, 2009 at Schuyler Hospital after a brief illness.

Mrs. Ellison was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Albert R. Ellison in 2007. She was born October 30, 1921 in Bloomfield, NJ the daughter of Frank and Jessie Louise Andrews.

She is survived by her brother-in-law, Justice William N. (Patricia) Ellison; nephews, Harry A. (Melissa) Ellison; and William N. (Diane) Ellison, Jr.; nieces, Mary Patricia

Ellison and Anne Edwina (Jeff) Snelling; and seven grandnephews and grandnieces.

Mrs. Ellison graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1939 and was employed by Traveler’s Insurance Company until her marriage and moving to Watkins Glen. She was later employed by the John Hodge Insurance Agency in Montour Falls and by Attorney Cameron R. Argetsinger and she was the owner with her husband of the Ellison Photo Service in Watkins Glen for many years.

Marion was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Watkins Glento which memorials may be made to in her name.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen.
