Mary Jennie (Cerrato) Camp
CANDOR: died at home on Tuesday, March 22, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in the Bronx, New York, on July 15, 1942, to the late Luigi and Bertha (Weber) Cerrato. She passed away at the age of 79 after a life well-lived.
Mary was a loving and caring soul who most enjoyed spending time with her family. She never tired of hosting Sunday dinners, holidays, and family gatherings with her many children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Mary’s greatest pleasure was being a wife, mother, and homemaker. Since her retirement in 1996, she relished her time with family, friends and her adored pets. When not hosting, or visiting, her family, Mary spent her quiet time doing jigsaw puzzles, landscaping her beautiful yard, undertaking countless home projects and decorating for the holidays.
Mary is survived by and will be greatly missed by her beloved husband, Thomas Camp; her two sons, Michael Esposito and Vincent Esposito; and her four daughters, Connie (John) Meyers, Elaine (Raymond) Davis, Angela Bond, and Patricia (Gary) Woodin; brother James (Barbara) Cerrato and sister Cathy Inez. Mary was also a much-loved grandmother and great-grandmother to several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her second husband, Salvatore Consacro, her grandson, Jeremy Esposito, and her son-in-law, Bruce Bond.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 26 from 11:30am – 12:30pm; funeral service at 12:30pm at Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 East Fourth Street, Watkins Glen, NY. A graveside service, for the family, immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery, Watkins Glen, NY.
