Matthew G. Opdyke

Age 35, of Peach Orchard Rd., Hector, NY, passed away unexpectedly at Cayuga Medical Center, Ithaca, NY on Thursday, August 12, 2010. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Sunday, August 15, from 4:00-8:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held Monday at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m.; Rev. Fletcher Brothers officiating; burial at Hector Presbyterian Cemetery. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, George and Edwina Opdyke; and maternal grandmother, Barbara Miller. Matthew is survived by his loving family: parents, Skip and Debbie Opdyke of Hector; sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Jason Reynolds of Syracuse; maternal grandparents, George and Beverly Bond of Hector; niece, Kylie Downey; nephew, Aidan McConnell; and his special loving companion and Border Collie, Seneca.
