Nancy Callahan

Age 74, of Watkins Glen, NY died Tuesday, September 15, 2009 after a brief illness.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St. Watkins Glen, on Friday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm; and Saturday from 2-3pm; where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 3pm; The Rev. Michael Hartney officiating; burial at Montour Cemetery.

Nancy was predeceased by her husband Robert T. Callahan on April 13, 1998. She is survived by two sons, Scott Callahan and Shawn Callahan (Karen Weinstein), of Rochester, NY; and one granddaughter, Cassidy Grace Callahan, the light of her life. She leaves behind many, many treasured friends.

Nancy was a registrar for the Grand Prix Corporation and Watkins Glen International where she recently was awarded a plaque for 50 years of volunteer service. She was also a board member of the Schuyler Hospital Auxiliary and had volunteered for many years as a tour guide at the Schuyler County Historical Society. Nancy was an avid card player and loved to travel.
