Nancy Rhodes
Age 90, of Beaver Dams, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017.
Friends are invited to call Sunday,July 2nd, from 1pm-2pm at the Tyrone United Methodist Church, Tyrone, followed by a funeral service at 2:00pm at the church; a private burial will be held at Tyrone Union Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Hubert “Dusty” Rhodes. Survivors include her son, William H. Rhodes, of Beavers Dams; daughters, Jane (Randy) Pruden, of Corning, Janet (John) Mayhew, of California; brother, Edson (Doris) Howell, of Tyrone, grandchildren, Kenny (Margaret), Michael, Erika and Ryan Rhodes, Zachary and Patrick Pruden, Amber, Dustin and James Phares, and nieces. She was also predeceased by twin grandchildren, Matthew and Kristina Pruden.
Nancy enjoyed working outdoors and caring for her gardens and grandchildren, and watching them both grow like weeds! She also took special interest in activities around the family farm.
She worked many years for Cornell Cooperative Extension and Yankee Pedlar in Watkins Glen.
She was a longtime member of the Tyrone United Methodist Church, Eastern-Star (Tyrone), and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society.
