Nicholas J. LaPre

Age 89, of 211 Seventh Street, Watkins Glen, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 2, 2008.

Nick owned and operated Cash Discount Electric and LaPre’s Greenhouse in Watkins Glen.

He was predeceased by his wife of 69 years, Gertrude E. LaPre, on October 29, 2007; surviving are his five children, Nick J. LaPre, Jr. (Barbara), of Central Square, NY, Ronald P. LaPre (Nancy), of Sarasota, FL, Georgia Baker (Ron), of Horseheads, NY, Marcia LaPre (Byron), of Houston, TX, and Stephen LaPre (Patricia), of Camden, NY; also 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

According to his wishes private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Watkins Glen. Memorials in his memory may be made a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements by Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, Watkins Glen.
