Nona Schimizzi
Age 77, of Burdett, passed away November 25, 2017 at home. Nona was born on Feb. 8, 1940 in Montour Falls, the daughter of Ralph and Hazel Burnett. Nona owned and operated Murph’s Business Services in Watkins Glen. She was a lifelong member of the Logan Methodist Church, immediate Past President of the Logan Community Center, member of the Ladies Wednesday Afternoon Club and owner of the Farmer’s and Growers Association of Hector. She was predeceased by her parents; husband Anthony; brother H. Wallace Burnett; great-nephew Brandon Allen, and infant nephew Donald Roger Brown. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Brown of Burdett; nieces and nephews, Lori (Bob) Allen, Gary (Lisa) Brown, Cindy (Bill) Freeman, Steve (Heather) Burnett, Greg (Leighann) Burnett, Brian (Amy) Burnett, and Clay Burnett; great-nieces and great-nephews, Josh Brown, Melinda Brown (fiancé Rich Button), Phil (LeAnn) Brown, Jason Allen and Jeremy Allen; Erica Freeman and Andrew Freeman, Bobby, Bryce and Braydon Burnett, Hanna Burnett; great-great-nieces and nephews, Jacob Klee, Bentley Button, Hailey, Daniel, Drake, Cadence, Emily and Jaxon. Family and friends are invited to the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Thursday (November 30th), from 11am-1pm; followed by a funeral service at 1:00pm at the funeral home; followed by burial at Hector Presbyterian Cemetery.
