HANSEN, Norman
Age 83, of Burdett, NY, passed away peacefully at home December 2, 2007. Norman was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 28, 1924 and lived in Baldwin, LI for 40 years where he volunteered his service as an Assistant Scout Master in Baldwin and was awarded the Order of the Arrow. He honorably served his country in the US Navy during WWII in the South Pacific. He and his wife retired to Burdett in 1989. He is survived by his wife, Edith of 60 years; five children: daughters, Jane (Fred) Jurnove of Long Beach, LI, Alice and Betty Hansen of Burdett, Kristina (Matt) Pulis of Burdett; and son, Robert (Karen) Hansen of Burdett; seven grandchildren, Matthew (Diane) Jurnove, Jeanne (Jason) Paulaski, Daniel (Erin) Jurnove, Eric and Jeffrey Hansen, and Sam and Hannah Pulis; two great-grandchildren, Caitlin Jurnove and Jacob Paulaski. He was predeceased by his parents, Selmer and Ella Hansen; sister, Dagmar Boell; and by grandson, Andrew Jurnove. At his request, there will be no calling hours.
