Age 88, of Watkins Glen, NY passed away November 27, 2008 at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility.

The family will receive friends and relatives at Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen on Monday, December 1, from 6-8pm; funeral services will immediately follow at 8:00pm; Rev. Beverly Karr-Lyon will officiate. Burial with military honors will be accorded at Glenwood Cemetery, Tuesday at 11:00am.

Omar Weston Woodward was born on December 30, 1919, in Watkins Glen NY, the son of the late Arthur and Madge Woodward. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Maxine; daughters Ruth Marvel of Watkins Glen and Connie (Richard) Ochoa of Wahiawa, HI; son Robert Woodward of Hockley, TX; sister Ruth Snow of Odessa; brother Harold Woodward of Plainwell, MI; grandchildren Wendy Marvel of Venice, CA, Cheryl (Scott) Cleveland of Watkins Glen, and George Ochoa and Allyson Ochoa, both of Wahiawa, HI; and great-granddaughter Olivia Star Cleveland.

He proudly served in the 108th Infantry from 1938-1941. He retired from Corning Glass Works after 37 years as a tool maker. He was a lifetime member of the Myrtle-Jefferson Masonic Lodge #131 F&AM of Montour Falls, the Mechanics Club, and the First Presbyterian Church of Watkins Glen.
