Paul H. Flahive
Age 59, of Burdett, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 8, 2014. The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday (May 12) from 4pm-7pm at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00am at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church in Watkins Glen; with The Rev. Paul Bonacci. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in Watkins Glen with military honors will be held at the convenience of the family. Paul was a devoted husband, father, and friend. Paul honorably served his country as a Sergeant in the US Army. Over time he became successful lineman and chief for NYSEG. During his journey he became a devoted and loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife Kristine M. Flahive; four sons, Mark Flahive, Danny Flahive (Kim Rolls), Paul Flahive II (Courtney Crout), Luke Flahive; siblings, Constance Flahive (Paul Kelleher), Lyman (Karen) Flahive, Barbara Flahive Strang, Mary (William) Signor, James (Natalie) Flahive, and John Flahive; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Nancy Flahive, niece Kasey Jane Signor, and brother-in-law, Jerry Strang. When thinking of Paul, many fond memories may include his one of a kind personality, his amazing work ethic, his love for the lake, and his amazingly strong love for his family and friends. He brought a smile to everyone’s face, young and old.
