Raymond “Harold” Langeland

Age 91, of Gillette, PA, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2023 at home. 

He was predeceased by his loving wife Florence in 2017.  They were married for 62 years.  

Harold was born in Sayre, PA, son of Raymond Sr. and Delma Langeland.  Upon turning 18, Harold enlisted in the United States Army in 1950.  Upon returning home, he worked at Westinghouse in Horseheads, retiring after 39 years. 

Harold is survived by his children; Harold Dale (Kathleen) Langeland, Jaqueline Ellsworth (late husband Roger), Debra Langeland, and Robert (Darlene) Langeland; grandchildren, Melissa, Christopher, Byron (Kim), Kurtis, Larry (Katie), Raymond (Laurie), Florence (Calvin), Randy, Desheray (Christopher), Danielle, Alexander, Heidi and Andrew; several great-grandchildren; and sibling, Nancy (Jerry) Cain. 

He was predeceased by his siblings, Edward Langeland, Joanne Cooke, Sandy Letcavage, and Eleanor Benson.

Family and friends are welcome to gather from 11:00am-1:00pm on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4^th St., Watkins Glen.  The funeral service to honor Harold’s life will be held at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Hanlon Hill Cemetery.
