Robert A. Ormsbee
72, of Watkins Glen, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014 at Schuyler Hospital. He was born on April 2, 1942, the son of William and Stella Knapp Ormsbee. Bob was predeceased by his daughter Staci; brother Bill; parents, William and Stella; and in-laws, Mico and Anna Schimizzi. He is survived by his wife of 47 ½ years, Fran; daughter Kami (Kyle) Teeter, and son Cade Ormsbee. Also surviving Bob are the loves of his life, his four grandsons, Jake, Jesse and Josh Teeter, and Nolan Ormsbee. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Rosemary Schimizzi and Shirley Ormsbee; niece, Brenda (Ross) Jones and son; nephew Brian (Kim) Ormsbee and son and daughter. Bob served in the US Navy from November 1961 thru March 1966. He was a retired mail carrier of 31 years with the US Postal Service. He was an avid hunter, enjoying many hours in the woods with his family and friends; watching his grandsons play sports and a dedicated NASCAR fan. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday (May 2nd) from 4pm-6pm at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Holy Cross Cemetery. Bobs family would like to thank Drs. Borzell, Saks and Coleman, along with the nursing staff at Schuyler Hospital and Seneca View for the wonderful and loving care extended not only to Bob, but to his family.
